• Russia’s status as India’s major arms supplier and trustworthy ally appears to have influenced India’s response. However, India’s backing for Ukraine may have enabled it to reconcile both principle and national interest.

Most Indian commentators have excused the Narendra Modi government’s abstentions on the UN Security Council resolution condemning Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the UNHCR resolution on human rights, and even the decision to take the issue to the UN general assembly as an attempt to make the best of a bad situation. Russia has been a reliable ally, they argue, as our major armaments supplier; it has defended India in the UN over Kashmir, not to mention Bangladesh, since 1971. Furthermore, voting against Russia would force it deeper into the arms of China, increasing that country’s security danger to India.

All three reasons have been out of date since the Cold War ended three decades ago and Vladimir Putin rose to power 20 years ago. More alarmingly, they reflect a complacency toward India’s own national security interests, which will only worsen with time.

Yes, Russia is our greatest armaments supplier, and if we vote against it, our supply would be jeopardized. But, no, Russia is not a trustworthy weaponry supplier; it has not been since Putin took office.

Arms deliveries are routinely delayed, and Putin has taken advantage of the delays to raise costs, sometimes almost doubling them. In comparison, French delivery of Rafael planes have been quite quick, albeit costs have risen sharply between those negotiated by the Manmohan Singh government and those signed under Modi.

Putin, far from assisting us, has turned a blind eye to China’s numerous acts of aggression against India. Russia was responsible for keeping us out of recent Afghan peace talks. What was our reaction back then? Appeasement. We purchased significant numbers of armaments to appease Russia when Putin accused us of moving closer to the US, hoping that they would interfere with China. What was the outcome? Another piece of Chinese salami.

When China addressed Kashmir before the UN Security Council in 2019 and 2020, Russia did little to assist us. The US and European governments assisted at the time, despite their own human rights standards.

Indeed, the claim that the United States and Europe were absent from our China dispute is absolutely inaccurate. The Modi government attempted to minimize China’s assertiveness. We did not bring the problem to the UN Security Council or seek a resolution.

Given that our administration continues to deny that we have lost land and appears to regard the loss of patrolling rights as insignificant, blaming other nations of absence seems a little harsh. Finding friends to counter China should be a top priority, but we don’t even know if the Modi government has accepted the US offer of high-tech monitoring. Such vacillations only serve to strengthen Xi’s China.

Russia has been attacking Ukraine for nearly two weeks, killing hundreds of people and displacing over 2 million.

In addition to causing a humanitarian disaster and sending shockwaves throughout the world, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s actions in Ukraine have focused attention on the nations’ foreign policy.

While some nations, like as Germany, have entirely switched their defense and energy policies to chastise Russia and defend Europe’s borders, others, such as India, have maintained a somewhat restrained approach toward old friend Russia.

However, with the death of one Indian student in Ukraine’s Kharkiv city and hundreds more Indian students still awaiting evacuation, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi is under pressure to denounce Russia’s conduct.

P Chidambaram, an Indian member from the opposition Congress party, tweeted last week, “The Government of India should cease its rhetorical balancing act and forcefully urge that Russia stop bombing important cities in Ukraine immediately.”

Meanwhile, Modi has met with both Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, calling for an end to the bloodshed.

On the global arena, however, India has so far refrained from denouncing Russia’s activities at the United Nations, instead reiterating its “commitment to the values of the UN Charter, international law, and respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all nations.”

Are EU-India relations in jeopardy?

In the Ukraine crisis, India’s balancing act of pleasing both Russia and the West caught the European Union off surprise.

According to Indian media reports, EU envoys and Ukraine’s envoy to New Delhi met with senior Indian foreign ministry officials last week ahead of a historic vote in the UN General Assembly and pushed India to take a firmer stance on the crisis.

French President Emmanuel Macron met with Modi on the subject as well. France presently has the EU Council chair, and Macron has been having regular conversations with EU leaders and world leaders to de-escalate the problem.

In recent years, India has strengthened relations with the EU in order to counteract Chinese concerns. EU foreign ministers and Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar agreed at the recent Indo-Pacific Forum to strengthen security ties by coordinating marine presence in the Indian Ocean and improving cybersecurity.

Garima Mohan, a fellow at the Asia Program of the German Marshall Fund of the United States, believes that while Europe-India relations have improved in recent years, India may need to reconsider its position on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Cash-strapped Pakistan has advised its citizens to restrict their use of tea in order to assist lower the import cost, which is eroding the country’s decreasing foreign exchange reserves.

The Federal Minister for Planning, Ahsan Iqbal, made the call after it was revealed that Pakistan consumed tea worth Rs 83.88 billion ($400 million) in fiscal year 2021-22, according to The News International daily.

He said that Pakistan, one of the world’s largest tea importers, must borrow money to do so.

“I ask to the country to reduce tea consumption by 1-2 cups since we import tea on loan,” Mr. Iqbal remarked to reporters on Tuesday in Islamabad.

According to the government budget paper for the current fiscal year, Pakistan imported Rs 13 billion ($60 million) more tea than the previous fiscal year.

According to the News Network International news agency, Pakistani Rs 70.82 billion ($340 million) was spent on tea imports in fiscal year 2020-21.

Mr. Iqbal’s call to reduce tea consumption by one to two cups did not go over well with the public, who began criticizing him on Twitter.

“Did Ahsan Iqbal actually request that the nation cut back on chai?” Did he truly request that from us? “Do they really believe we’re that stupid?” said one Twitter user.

“Ahsan Iqbal pushing the country to cut back on tea, I’m sorry but I can’t be a part of this,” another user called Zoha tweeted.

The Planning Minister also stated that the trading community has been requested to close markets by 8.30 p.m. PST in order to preserve electricity.

Mr. Iqbal stated that this will assist the government in lowering its import bill for petroleum items.

Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has cautioned that if difficult decisions are not taken, Pakistan’s economy will be in a similar.

If one of us responded, “It’s not a worrying scenario,” we’d both be lying. That the concept hasn’t occurred to us, or that it hasn’t occurred to us numerous times today. Are we on the verge of nuclear war?

The simplest way for me to address that question is to discuss a documentary I saw a few years ago and again lately. But that wasn’t just an average one. It was created by the BBC and placed you into a war game – a simulation. When I say war-game, I mean how our political and military leaders run “games” to see how circumstances ignite — and evolve.

This documentary was unique in that it did something that had never been done before or after. It entered such a wargame. Of the Third World War.

It’s from 2016, but it’s scary and unsettling since it turns out to be shockingly true even in 2022.

I strongly advise you to seek it out and watch it. Here’s how the BBC puts it — I’m quoting because I want you to realize that this isn’t some kind of speculative film, but rather a documentary about a realistic war-game about World War III, the only one I’m aware of that exists in the public domain.

“The War Room is confronted with a prospect that has tormented Western strategists since the Ukraine crisis began: probable Russian military intervention in Latvia and Estonia.” These nations, like Ukraine, have significant Russian-speaking populations, but unlike Ukraine, they are members of NATO, whose founding treaty specifies that an assault on one ally constitutes an attack on all. As a result, western strategists often simulate a scenario in which Russia aims to exploit ethnic tensions in the Baltic and put the NATO Alliance to the test.

“Normally, these ‘war games’ are held in secret. We videotaped a huge war simulation with some of Britain’s most senior military, political, and diplomatic officials for the first time. Former Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe General Sir Richard Shirreff; First Sea Lord Admiral Lord West; Joint Intelligence Committee Chair, Baroness Neville-Jones; British Ambassador to the United States, Sir Christopher Meyer; and British Ambassador to Moscow, Sir Tony Brenton are among those in the War Room, and the group represents a wide range of perspectives on how we should view President Putin’s Russia.

“The war game was recorded in a single session over many hours, utilizing concealed cameras in a purpose-built set at a secure area in Central London.” The scenarios were created after months of research, including discussions with active military, diplomatic, and political specialists from throughout the world. The video portrays the growing drama and intensity of an emerging battle, as well as the intense argument, as the War Room chooses what steps Britain should take – all the way up to Armageddon.”

This documentary was so divisive at the time that many people believed it should never have been created. It’s terrifying to see, especially now.

What occurs in the World War III wargame shown in this film? It all starts like this.

Russia launches a false flag operation against a neighboring country, Latvia. Latvian rebels — ethnic Russians – seek Russian protection. Russia quickly sends in guns under the cover of “humanitarian assistance.” Separatists seize control of a city that serves as the regional capital and proclaim a referendum. This country is quickly engulfed by conflict.

The global recession of 2018-2019 has killed around 65,000 jobs in Sri Lanka, as businesses and individuals reduce spending. But, why? The country was already hit by a double-dip recession in 2015-2016, which killed around 35,000 jobs. The present crisis is, therefore, worse than the previous one, as it has claimed more lives while being deeper and wider-ranging. The unemployment rate has risen from 4.9% in January 2019 to 7.6% in December 2019.

There are various theories explaining the present situation. Some say it is because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Others say it is the result of bad economic policies. Whatever the reason, it is certain that the ongoing crisis has made many people in Sri Lanka poor. The rich are getting richer, while the poor are getting Poorer.

What is the solution?

The government of Sri Lanka has implemented a range of policies to tackle the economic crisis. These include, amongst others:

<li style=”font-weight: 400;” aria-level=”1″>Introducing a new Rs. 10,000 cashback offer for individuals, through which the bearer can get up to Rs. 5,000 back if they purchase certain products (applied until further notice, available at ATMs only).
<li style=”font-weight: 400;” aria-level=”1″>Allowing individuals to register as micro-businesses, with a limit on the number of employees and investment size. These policies are designed to boost the national economy by giving more opportunities to people to start and/or expand their businesses.
<li style=”font-weight: 400;” aria-level=”1″>Allowing workers to claim a cheque for two weeks’ wages as an incentive to return to work.
<li style=”font-weight: 400;” aria-level=”1″>Raising the threshold for the personal income tax, which is now set at Rs. 1 million Sri Lankan rupees (approx. US$11,000), up from Rs. 75,000 Sri Lankan rupees (approx. US$1,000).
<li style=”font-weight: 400;” aria-level=”1″>Imposing a special additional income tax of 10% on high net-worth individuals and people with annual income above Rs. 1 million Sri Lankan rupees.

What happened with Sri Lanka’s foreign debt?

Sri Lanka recently announced that it has successfully concluded the restructuring of its $18 billion foreign debt. The country’s Finance Minister, Ravi Karunanayake, explained that the successful completion of the restructuring process is a major step towards returning the country to economic stability. However, some analysts believe that the crisis is only postponed and that Sri Lanka is still facing a long and difficult road ahead.

Sri Lanka’s foreign debt grew out of control after the previous government imposed several policies that were designed to raise money but led to high and unpredictable budget gaps. The country ended up borrowing heavily from international financial institutions, including the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The government of Sri Lanka agreed to reduce the national debt and restructure its loans with the help of the IMF. As a result, the country had to agree to impose strict control on its budget and balance the books.

The government then started talks with its main lenders – the IMF, the World Bank, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). These discussions led to the recent announcement that the government has successfully concluded the restructuring of its foreign debt.

With the growth of first-world travel in recent years, a lot of people may have assumed that rich people travel the best. That’s why this answer will take a look at whether or not it’s true that only rich people can travel abroad. Let’s start with some definitions of terms.

What is a first-world country?

Generally, countries that are part of the first world category would be richer than countries that are not considered part of the first world. These countries usually have high living standards and infrastructure, for example, high literacy rates, free education up to university level, free healthcare and free universal access to this.

Can middle-class people travel abroad?

Some of the countries in this group, such as Australia and New Zealand, have more generous citizenship policies than others. In general, citizens of a country are allowed to live and work in other countries if they meet certain requirements, such as having good health insurance and earning a minimum income. In general, citizens of richer countries can travel to poorer countries easier than citizens of poorer countries can travel to richer countries. For example, you’ll need a tourist visa to travel to New Zealand from Fiji, but you’ll only need an approved job offer in order to live and work there.

On the other hand, depending on your citizenship, you may not be able to apply for a working visa in another country if you are not a citizen of that country. There may also be cases where citizens of certain countries can travel to certain countries easier than others. For example, Saudi Arabian citizens can travel to Malaysia without a visa, but Malaysian citizens will have a lot of trouble getting into Saudi Arabia.

No, it’s not really true that in America, only rich people can travel abroad. There are many Americans who travel abroad on a regular basis, and they come from all different socio-economic backgrounds.

While it is true that some American travelers may have more disposable income than others, this does not mean that all American travelers are wealthy. There are many ways to finance international travel, and there are many programs and scholarships available to help offset the cost. The key is to research so that you can find the option that works best for you.

Are there programs that help middle-class people travel abroad?

While first-world countries have a lot of investment in their youth through various scholarships and educational programs, this does not mean that there are no opportunities for middle-class or poorer people to get funding for international travel. For example, many credit cards come with an annual or point bonus that can be used to pay for your travel expenses. Some people may also have family abroad that they can ask for help.

Of course, some of the best ways to travel abroad are to get a job that will allow you to do so. This can be achieved through various routes such as teaching English in a school in another country or even working at an international company in a remote location. This way, not only will you be able to see the world, but you will also have access to many opportunities to learn new things and make friends from other countries. So basically, it all depends on your financial situation.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a buzzword these days. AI is already being used in many fields, from self-driving cars to chatbots, and more. While it might seem like AI will take over all human jobs, that is not the case. There are still a wide variety of jobs that AI can’t easily replace. These include tasks such as data analysis, pattern recognition, scheduling, and customer service.

Additionally, there are many jobs that AI will never be able to replace. These include jobs that require creativity, original thinking, or strong critical thinking skills. Even in fields where AI can be used to replace some tasks, such as customer service, machines will not be able to perform these tasks as well as humans. For example, machines might not be able to analyze customer feedback and adjust their services accordingly.

So while AI is definitely being used in many different areas, it is not going to take over all jobs. Instead, we will likely see a mix of jobs that humans and machines can perform.

What Can You Do If Your Job Is Replaced By AI?

Even if your job is not being replaced by AI, you can still make yourself more attractive to potential employers. For example, you could improve your resume, interview well, and demonstrate that you are a team player. Additionally, you should make sure that you are staying up-to-date with the latest developments in your field.

Finally, remember that many careers take time to develop. So if you want to learn more about a particular career, consider taking some time off to explore it. This can help you develop your skills and make sure that you are interested in the type of work you want to do.

Can AI Ever Replace Me?

No. AI can never replace a human. AI is just a tool that humans use to perform certain tasks. Humans are still needed to create AI algorithms and decide which tasks AI should perform. Without humans, AI would be useless.

For example, AI cannot read, write, or speak like humans. But it can still help humans do these tasks more efficiently. For example, AI can analyze large amounts of data and suggest possible solutions to problems. In short, AI can be used to make our lives easier, but it cannot replace us.

When it comes to branding yourself, you need to make sure that your colors are consistent throughout your entire brand. By doing this, you will be creating a platform that is easier for people to get familiar with and remember you as. Some of the most popular colors to use when branding yourself include red, orange, and yellow. These colors are bold and attention-grabbing, so they will help you stand out from the crowd.

However, some colors that are often associated with professionalism and sophistication include black, grey, and navy blue. These colors can convey a message of reliability and trustworthiness, which is important for building a strong personal brand. Other colors that may be used depending on the industry or message you want to communicate include white (for simplicity and cleanliness), green (for growth and freshness), and purple (for creativity and royalty). Ultimately, the colors you choose should reflect your own personality and brand values.

Additionally, they are also associated with power and success, which is what you want to portray when personal branding yourself. Ultimately, using colors that are both appealing and relevant to your business will help you create a brand that is both powerful and memorable.

Color Guidelines For Personal Brands

Some general guidelines can be followed in order to create a cohesive and professional-looking brand. It is often recommended to use two or three colors that complement each other, and avoid using colors that are too similar to each other. Additionally, it can be helpful to use light and dark colors to create contrast and visual interest. Ultimately, the best colors to use for personal branding will be those that reflect the personality and values of the individual.

Bitcoin (BTC) has lost almost 58 percent of its value in the second quarter of 2022, its largest quarterly loss in over a decade. According to cryptocurrency analysts, bitcoin has had its worst quarterly performance since the third quarter of 2011, when it lost 68.1 percent of its value.

Meanwhile, ether is down 69.3 percent in the second quarter, on track for its worst quarter since its debut in 2015. Due to the price drop, hedge fund Three Arrows Capital has gone into liquidation, while other companies have suspended withdrawals for consumers due to liquidity difficulties.

What Does The Price Drop Reveal About the Future Trends?

The price drop has revealed concerns with a number of cryptocurrency organizations and initiatives, notably those in the lending industry and enterprises that are heavily leveraged. Bitcoin is currently trading below $20,000, yet just 26,000 addresses have BTC holdings.

The precipitous drop in the value of the flagship cryptocurrency has substantially impacted some Bitcoin whales, who are finally exiting the market or selling their coins. Bitcoin and other digital assets have suffered as a result of various factors, including the Ukraine-Russia war, increasing inflation, and fears of an imminent recession.
