Increasing Covid- 19 instances around the country have prompted Indian enterprises to return to working from home, as corporations think that the health and safety of their employees is their main priority. Some businesses that had opened their doors for employees to come to work in April and May have now returned to work from home mode. Why do Indians like working from home?
Debina Roy, an employee at an IT firm, discovered a new work pattern. She conducts her housework while waiting for a response from a customer.
She claims that she is enjoying her best life right now since she is not wasting time travelling three hours to and from work and back. Second, she feels relieved that she is no longer in a high-pressure situation. Working from home makes her feel at ease.
According to recruiters, one of the most common issues for employees is travel. Several employees were needed to relocate to other states or cities for employment, but the majority have already returned to their hometowns and may work from home in comfort.
Work from home or work from office: Which is better?
This dispute has erupted among employees as India has switched toward allowing digital technology as the future of work. This subject is also raised: whether it is preferable, work from home or work from the office?
Many employees believe that working from home is preferable because it eliminates travel, allows for a better work-life balance, and saves money, whereas others believe that working from the office is preferable because it allows for face-to-face communication with coworkers and allows them to manage everything on their own.
Employees who work from home spend 10 minutes less every day being unproductive, work one more day per week, and are 47 per cent more productive.
